Stock Donations
ICBC is now able to accept donations of stock via transfer to our account at TD Ameritrade.This a great opportunity to help your masjid and have tax advantages at the same time. For example, If you have stock that you bought for $25.00 and is now worth $35 a share, you can donate the stock without selling it. This will provide ICBC $35.00 per share, provide you that tax benefit of a $35.00 per share deduction, and not require you to pay taxes on the $10.00 per share gain – from $25.00 cost to $35.00 current value per share.
