Masjid Construction Update-November 17, 2017

Excellent progress on the foundation work this week, Alhamdu lillah.  Due to the rain forecast on Thursday of this week, the pouring of concrete has been re-scheduled for next Tuesday, InShaAllah.  City inspections and engineering inspections have also been moved to this Friday and Sunday, respectively. We are taking the necessary steps to get ready for pouring concrete.

Masjid Construction Update-November 4, 2017

Great progress this week, Alhamdu lillah.  Trenching is complete.  Installation of vapor barrier sheet and 8" cardboard riser has started.  Iron rebars are being assembled for underground beams.  Next week, we will bind the foundation steel and get the necessary inspections completed, InShaAllah.  If everything goes as planned, pouring of concrete is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th, InShaAllah

Cardboard material needed for the foundation was delivered on site this week.  We need about 7 days, with no rain, to complete the following work—trench for underground beams, install the cardboard, bind the foundation steel over cardboard, and engineering & city inspections— before pouring the concrete.

Steel for the foundation has been delivered on site.  However, the soil is still too wet to start binding the steel.  We are also waiting for feedback from our Geo-technical Engineer on certain design criteria.  Upon receiving the Engineer’s report, foundation work will resume immediately thereafter, provided no more rain.
