Dear brothers and sisters, Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh!

After our masjid was re-opened in June 2020 following the shutdown during the pandemic, we instituted a registration process for attending prayers.  The process allowed us to optimize the allocation of available space due to the 6-ft social distancing policy.  It also provided a registry of prayer attendees in case we needed to contact them as part of “contact tracing”.

With the national and local COVID-19 cases relatively flat in recent months and a significant number of members already vaccinated, we have decided to remove the registration requirement for Jumu’ah attendance. However, the rest of the protocols will remain in place.

  • Wearing a face mask
  • Body temperature check
  • Use of hand sanitizer
  • Bringing a prayer mat is recommended

If you or a member of your household is sick, please refrain from visiting ICBC until you have been medically cleared.  If you have traveled to any of the quarantine zones or have potentially come into contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, please self-quarantine yourself before attending services at ICBC.  We will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation in Greater Austin and will make necessary changes as needed.

We pray that Allah SWT keeps all of us and our families safe and healthy, and thank all our community members for your continued cooperation and understanding during these challenging times.  We take this opportunity to particularly thank our tireless volunteers (about 50 community members) who were working diligently to ensure we followed the regulations and guidance provided by the CDC and the authorities.

Should you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please email us at

Jazakum Allahu Khairan
