This class will teach the basic Tajweed rules and practice recitation and memorization of the Holy Qur’an. The teaching methodology will be informal.

Br. Amjad is a Hafiz ul Qur’an and has Ejazah in Hafs an Asim and Sho’ba an Asim. He is a native Arabic speaker.

Sheikh Islam Mossaad
Imam Islam Mossaad has served as Imam for NAMCC from May 2008 to January 2015 and from January 2018 to now. He has also served as Imam of the Islamic Center of Little Rock from September 2003 until May 2006 and Imam of the Islamic Community of Bryan-College Station January 2017 to January 2018. Imam Islam is a Hafidh of the Qur’an and has received Islamic education from scholars of Islam in the U.S. and through his formal studies with Mishkhah University. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
MONTHLY GUEST LECTURES
We host monthly guest lectures by various speakers from all over the country on Friday evenings, usually on the last Friday of the month. The topics ranging from the spiritual to the mundane. All of the lectures and workshops involved detailed discussions with our visiting scholars, contributing to enhancement of our knowledge.
Pertinent details such as the guest speaker name, lecture topic, exact timings, etc. are published at our website as well in the ICBC Weekly Newsletter that is emailed every Thursday at 5:00 PM.
The lecture is held in person at the Masjid and also broadcast via Zoom and YouTube.
